Wilson was part of the University of Melbourne Digital Industry Projects program as a management consultant, working in a team to devise a growth plan for a small-sized company.
During his last semester, he joined the Basic Expert team in 2023 as an engineering intern, specialising in projects involving cladding rectification works of buildings around Victoria, helping Owners Corporations navigate the complex process of building notices or orders in relation to fire safety.
Upon his graduation from university, Wilson has continued to work as a graduate engineer in Basic Expert. Since then, he has took the responsibility of managing various projects in different project life cycles, and has experience in developing risk assessments for buildings. He has also been assisting managers in developing Building Appeals Board (BAB) applications, product development projects, and feasibility studies.
Wilson has advanced with leaps and bounds. He has learned how to use Fire Dynamics Simulator and developed expertise far beyond that expected for a new engineering graduate.
