BASIC Expert conducted a risk assessment to determine the likelihood and consequence of fire spread through installed ACP-FR, blackbutt timber and Foilboard on the building and and proposed a risk mitigation strategy involving a rectification plan. We leveraged our expertise at the Building Appeals Board under cl 3.1(b) of Specification C1.1 of the Building Code of Australia 2014 Volume One (BCA) applying to a class 2, 5, 6, and 7a building to secure a favourable decision amend it to the extent that would permit retention of Aluminium Composite Panel (28% organic polymer) (ACP FR), timber cladding, and laminated expanded polystyrene insulation panels installed on multiple elevations and locations on or within the external wall of the building.
