BASIC Expert conducted a risk assessment to determine the likelihood and consequence of fire spread through installed ACP and Foilboard insulation on the building and and proposed a risk mitigation strategy involving a rectification plan. We leveraged our expertise at the Building Appeals Board under s 160(2)(b) of the Building Act 1993 for determinations to secure a favourable decision to modify, subject to the remedial work, Specification C1.1 Clause 3.1(b) of the BCA 2013 so as to allow the remaining fire retardant Alucobond Plus ACP and Foilboard EPS insulation to be retained.
